To promote a focused learning environment and reflect our school’s values, students are expected to follow the dress code outlined below. All clothing should be neat, clean, modest, and appropriately sized.

Tops

  • Must be solid in the following colors only: teal, navy, white, or gray
  • May include t-shirts, polo shirts, button-downs, blouses, sweaters, or sweatshirts
  • No large logos/graphics, slogans, or images (small manufacturer logos are acceptable)
  • Shirts must always cover the midriff and chest

Bottoms

  • Must be solid in the following colors only: navy, khaki, or black
  • Acceptable styles include pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, and jumpers
  • No denim, leggings worn alone, or excessively tight or loose clothing

Shorts and Skirts

  • Must be an appropriate length
  • Length should reach at least fingertip length when arms are resting at the sides
  • Must allow for modest movement during normal school activities

Hair

  • Hair must be a natural color
  • Hairstyles should not distract from the learning environment

Footwear

  • Closed-toe shoes are encouraged for safety
  • Shoes should be appropriate for recess and physical activity

Casual Days

  • On designated casual days, students may pay $1 to participate
  • Students may wear jeans on these days
  • A school-approved shirt must be worn
  • Casual day clothing must still be modest, appropriate, and suitable for a school setting
  • Funds collected will be used for miscellaneous student-related items, such as treats, special activities, or school events
  • Casual days will be announced in advance and are not guaranteed on a regular schedule

General Guidelines

  • Clothing should not be torn, frayed, or see-through
  • Administration reserves the right to determine whether attire is appropriate
  • Families may be contacted if a student’s attire does not meet dress code standards

Families may purchase dress code–appropriate clothing from any retailer of their choice. For convenience, we have found that the following stores typically carry items that meet our dress code requirements:
